Pre-Audition Workshop for Children: 
Saturday, Mar 6 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at St James Episcopal Church (355 W Maple, Birmingham, MI 48009).  Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. $20 registration fee per child includes all materials. (no charge for children of St. D's members). | Go to Children's Workshop Registration Form

Children’s Auditions:
Saturday, Mar 13, 1:00* at St Dunstan’s Theatre. Registration begins at 12:00 p.m.
*Girls being considered for the part of Annie will be requested to join the adult auditions at 7:30 both Monday and Tuesday, Mar 15 and 16.

Adult Auditions:
Monday and Tuesday, Mar 15 & 16 at 7:30 p.m. @ St Dunstan’s Theatre. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.

Performance Dates: 
June 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19 (with rain dates of June 6, 13 and 20). Performed in the Outdoor Greek Theatre.

Rehearsal Dates:
March 17 – June 2 (including Memorial Day, May 31). Rehearsal days will generally be on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings. 
* Please bring a list of ALL conflicts during the rehearsal period to be listed on audition form – NO conflicts will be accepted for May 31.

St Dunstan’s Open Casting Policy:
If you are an adult, non-member and are cast, you will be required to join at current membership requirements.  Children auditioning will have different requirements. For more details, please contact Elizabeth Robinson.


Roles:

All cast members, with the exception of FDR (unless double cast), will be required to do some “dance” and movement.  Please be prepared to learn a short dance sequence at auditions, wearing comfortable/dance shoes and clothing you can move in.

Annie: Spunky, friendly, big-voiced, street-wise and lovable urchin – must have tons of energy and sparkle to win everyone’s hearts.
Approx. age – 11.  Song - "Fully Dressed" (Childrens) and "Tomorrow".

Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks: Millionaire work-a-holic turn warm-hearted father figure.
Range – Baritone (C – high F).  Song – "NYC" and "Something Was Missing".

Grace Farrell: Faithful assistant to Warbucks, champion of Annie and eventually, romantic interest of Warbucks.
Range – Soprano (A – high G).  Song – "I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here"

Ms. Hannigan: Cantankerous and mean director of orphanage, seemingly hates little girls, hates her job even though she’s glad to have one.
Range – Mezzo (A – A flat).  Song – "Easy Street".

Rooster: Hannigan’s no-good brother, scheming to get more in life.
Range – Baritone (B – high G).  Song – "Easy Street".

Lilly: Rooster’s floozy of a girlfriend, “blonde bombshell” and not smart.
Range – Soprano (D – high G).  Song – "Easy Street".

Bert Healey: Radio personality, overly-dramatic voice.
Range – Baritone (E – high F sharp).  Song – "Fully Dressed".  May also be in ensemble.

Boylan Sisters: Radio singers, three sisters.
Ranges – Soprano, Mezzo and Alto.  Song – "Fully Dressed".  May also be in ensemble.

Star-To-Be: Eager new arrival to NYC with hope of making it big.  Lots of eager energy!
Range – Mezzo-Soprano (B flat – E flat).  Song – "NYC".  May also be in ensemble.

FDR: The classic American President, bigger-than-life presence in a wheel chair.
Range – Baritone (C flat – E sharp).  Song – "Fully Dressed".  May also be in ensemble.

Orphan Ensemble: Girls ages 6 - 13 (may be older as long as they look young).

Molly:
Youngest orphan, approx. 6 years old

Tessie: Cry Baby orphan, approx. 10 years old                                   
Kate: Next to littlest orphan, approx. 7 years old

Ensemble:  Ensemble members may play multiple roles throughout the show, may of which are featured parts (Hooverville Residents, Warbucks’ servants, FDR’s cabinet members, etc.). Song - "NYC"
