Full Circle Perfomance Series: Joe Palmer

Experience this intimate, acoustic music program and support local theatre — and enjoy an evening’s entertainment for a song.

Welcoming Joel Palmer to the Full Circle Performance Series at St. Dunstan's Theatre Guild of Cranbrook on Saturday, May 21st at 8:00 p.m.

Joel is an accomplished finger style guitarist and studied vocalist who has mastered the art of interweaving vocal melody with his guitar, creating a second voice as if he’s his own duet. His original songs are moving, inspiring, and clever. He'll make you cry, think and smile all in the same set.

In addition to being an outstanding singer/songwriter, Joel is a fine interpreter of songs – old and new.  A versatile musician, he presents 30-40 shows per month of quality music for retirement communities, schools, churches, libraries and early child development centers!  His song book is full of classics for all ages with an emphasis on crowd pleasing standards and playful children’s music. Whether you’re looking for entertainment, education or comfort; Joel can provide it with style.

This evening of superb entertainment is the final 2011 event in the Full Circle Performance Series, which brings high-caliber musical talent to the local community. The performance is presented in a three-quarters round setup, with the audience surrounding the performers at floor level. Admission is just $10 per person — a great entertainment value.

"We're bringing artistry to audiences at St. Dunstan's while our main stage productions are in rehearsal," says Alan Canning, a member of St. Dunstan's and one of the event's co-producers. "Giving talented musicians another place to showcase their talents and raising much-needed funds for a great theatre organization."

Canning is co-producing the program with Wolf Tytschkowski, who created the original Full Circle Performance Series in 2004.

"Joel is an outstanding musician and entertainer," Tytschkowski says. "We're really excited to be bringing well-respected artists like Joel to this venue, an intimate setting that lets audiences really interact with the artists."
