Where is the outdoor Greek theater?
On the Cranbrook grounds behind the St. Dunstan Theatre Playhouse. Enter through the Lobby of the theater building at 400 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Hills.
What time does the show start?
All performances start at 8:30 pm. There are no matinees.
Are there reserved seats?
No. Unassigned seating. Seating begins at 7:30 pm. The amphitheater holds 400 people, and the view of the stage is good from all seats. The lobby and ticket counter open at 7 pm.
Do we bring lawn chairs?
No. Wooden stadium seats with cushions and backs are provided at no charge and are placed on the stone rows in the Greek amphitheater. Personal stadium seats are permitted.
What if it rains?
Every effort is made to perform the show as scheduled. If rain forces cancellation of the show BEFORE IT STARTS, it will be announced on the website (StDunstansTheatre.com) and the Facebook page. Patrons can use their tickets for a remaining performance.
Xanadu is performed without an intermission. If inclement weather forces cancellation during the first part of the show, PRIOR to the song “Don’t Walk Away,” all patrons present with be given a rain check good for the remaining performances.
If inclement forces cancellation during the latter part of the show, AFTER the song “Don’t Walk Away,” the performance will be ended without rainchecks.
There are no refunds aside from exceptional circumstances as determined by St. Dunstan’s Theatre Guild. Donation receipts can be given for unused tickets. Email: .
I have purchased tickets. Can they be exchanged for a different date?
Yes, if seating is available. Please email Tickets@StDunstansTheatre.com. Or call 1-844-DUNSTAN (1-844-386-7826) and leave a voicemail message under Option 4. Tickets purchased on ShowClix can be exchanged by contacting ShowClix. There is no charge to exchange.
Where do we park?
Free parking is available on the boulevard across from the Playhouse and in the Cranbrook House and Christ Church Cranbrook parking lots on Lone Pine Road east of the theatre. Please allow time for walking!
Are concessions available?
Yes, water, pop, coffee, and snacks are available for a small donation.
May I bring my own beverages or snacks?
Yes, in small quantities. GLASS AND LARGE COOLERS ARE NOT PERMITTED out of concern for the safety and comfort of patrons, cast, and crew. There are no picnic facilities.
Is the Greek theater handicapped accessible?
No, it is not.
Anything else I should know?
Dress for the weather. Insect repellant is helpful. Restrooms are located in the main theater building.
